IE9 Beta Download – The D-day is Here

It’s the D-day, the long wait is over. According to a blog post, IE9 beta will be available for download on Sep 15.

So, what to expect from IE9 beta?

IE9 beta will be supporting HTML5 (including HTML5 video!), CSS 3, hardware-accelerated 2D graphics and a totally new JavaScript engine. Source: Internet Explorer Test Drive

Before you decide to download, it is worth to note:

  • IE 9 Beta is not available for Windows XP. The beta needs either Windows Vista or Windows 7.
  • Installing IE9 on Windows Vista or 7 will remove existing installation of IE7 or IE8. So, you can install IE9 either on a Virtual Machine or install IE7 or IE8 on a Virtual Machine and then install IE9 to your PC.
